Anger Management Group

Feeling angry is normal...

However, anger is a problem if it causes you to:
  • Lose your temper quickly
  • Feel very frustrated and annoyed by everyday life
  • Become violent, verbally or physically, or feel aggressive
  • Feel out of control and overwhelmed.

In a group of men with similar issues, this course could help you understand, notice and mange your anger appropriately.

The course is run by Jon McAteer & Stuart Baker, UKCP Registered Psychotherapists.

The course aims to:

Help you to learn to make sense of and understand your angry thoughts and feelings, and to control your aggressive and / or violent behaviours.  It will do this by helping you to learn to:

  • Understand how anger affects you personally
  • Acknowledge the impact your anger has on others
  • Recognise what makes you angry and where this comes from
  • Manage, understand and control your anger and frustration
  • Use techniques for relaxation
  • Find new ways to respond
  • Take responsibility for yourself
  • Be assertive rather than angry.
